Sunday, August 21, 2011, was a significant day for Orangewood Church of the Nazarene in Phoenix, AZ when they hosted Holy Sexuality™, Christopher Yuan’s conference on biblical sexuality. He was joined by his parents, Leon and Angela Yuan, and they shared their testimony of God’s transforming grace and presented biblical teaching on sexuality. With over 600 in attendance for the morning services and afternoon sessions, this conference was a blessed time for the community.

The morning worship service opened with the Yuan family sharing their powerful story of redemption. Their heartfelt testimony, marked by raw honesty and a profound display of God’s unwavering faithfulness, deeply resonated with people of all ages. It served as a moving reminder that no one is ever beyond the reach of God’s grace.

Holy Sexuality™ hosted two impactful conference sessions addressing critical questions about faith and sexuality. In A Christian Response to Homosexuality, Christopher shared practical, Christ-centered strategies for engaging with culture while upholding biblical truth. His second session, Homosexuality: Texts & Hermeneutics, offered a thorough exploration of key biblical passages, equipping believers with clarity and confidence to understand and apply God’s Word effectively.

The effect was unmistakable. As one attendee remarked, “Bless you, Christopher! I see you as a David, empowered by God, out there fighting a Goliath…well done!” This sentiment embodied the courage and conviction that defined the event, inspiring many to stand steadfast in their faith while sharing love and truth with those around them.

Just days prior on August 19–20, the Greater Phoenix Chinese Christian Church hosted Dr. Yuan’s Holy Sexuality™ conference, drawing an audience of over 500 attendees. Across the weekend, Dr. Yuan’s events at both churches offered hope, healing, and a profound exploration of God’s design for identity and relationships.

These two conferences powerfully revealed God’s presence, breaking down barriers and moving hearts to answer His call. At Orangewood Church, the message delivered was a timely and impactful reminder that God’s truth, when spoken with grace, holds the power to transform lives and glorify His name.
