About Christopher, Leon and Angela Yuan

Dr. Christopher Yuan's speaking ministry on faith and sexuality has reached five continents. He has co-authored with his mother their memoir, Out of a Far Country, which has sold over 130,000 copies and is now in multiple languages. Dr. Yuan’s second book, Holy Sexuality and the Gospel, was named 2020 Book of the Year for Social Issues by Outreach Magazine. Christopher has just produced The Holy Sexuality Project, a first-of-its-kind video series to help parents and grandparents to empower their teens to understand, embrace, and celebrate biblical sexuality.

Dr. Leon and Angela Yuan have experienced much heartache from a broken marriage and their prodigal sons. But, God has given them the grace to rely upon His power to change the unchangeable and focus upon their own daily renewal and transformation. Leon earned his PhD in physical chemistry in 1969 and his DDS in 1979, and practiced dentistry for 40 years in the Chicago area. Angela is the founder and president of a non-profit organization that owned a 60-unit low-income, senior citizens home. Both have been highly involved with Bible Study Fellowship International, serving in leadership for more than thirteen years, and were a part of the pioneering team invited by the Chinese communist government to start BSF for the locals in mainland China. In July 2022, Leon suddenly went home to be with the Lord. Although Leon is dearly missed, Angela and Christopher continue to joyfully and passionately proclaim the gospel and eagerly await being consummated in glory.
