Christopher, Leon and Angela Yuan

Dr. Christopher Yuan has taught the Bible at Moody Bible Institute for over ten years and his speaking ministry on faith and sexuality has reached five continents. He speaks at conferences, on college campuses, and in churches. He has co-authored with his mother their memoir (now in seven languages), Out of a Far Country: A Gay Son’s Journey to God, A Broken Mother’s Search for Hope and he is also the author of Giving a Voice to the Voiceless. Christopher graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 2005, Wheaton College Graduate School in 2007 with a Master of Arts in Biblical Exegesis and received his doctorate of ministry in 2014 from Bethel Seminary. Dr. Yuan’s forthcoming book, Holy Sexuality and the Gospel: Sex, Desire, and Relationships Shaped by God’s Grand Story, will be released on November 20, 2018.

Dr. Leon and Angela Yuan have experienced much heartache from a broken marriage and their prodigal sons. But, God has given them the grace to rely upon His power to change the unchangeable and focus upon their own daily renewal and transformation. Leon earned his PhD in physical chemistry in 1969 and his DDS in 1979, and has been practicing dentistry in the Chicago area. Angela is the founder and president of a non-profit organization that owned a 60-unit low-income, senior citizens home. Both have been highly involved with Bible Study Fellowship International, serving in leadership for more than thirteen years, and were a part of the pioneering team invited by the Chinese communist government to start BSF for the locals in mainland China.
